Sunday Evening Activities:

On Sunday nights from September through April the children participate in AWANA from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. This is during Discipleship Training hour and evening services. May through July we will have summer Bible classes for the children during the Discipleship Training hour and the children will attend the evening service with their parents.

AWANA is an international, Bible-centered children's ministry providing children with weekly clubs, programs, and training from preschool through 5th grade. Six graders may work in AWANA as helpers. Our goal is to reach children and their families with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.

More Sunday Evening Activities:

Children's choirs (1st-6th) meet from 4:15 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings.

Children’s Bible Drill meets from 5:00-7:00 p.m. August through April.

Wednesday Evening Activities: We have Bible classes and games for the children from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Special Events:

There are several special events for the children throughout the year...

Every Easter the children participate in an Easter Egg Hunt. This last year we were able to enjoy the newly purchased lot beside the church for our hunt.

We have two Rosebud Services each year. The Rosebud Service is a Family Commitment at the time of birth to raise their child with Christian Principles. One Rosebud Service is held on Mother's Day and another is held in the fall. This is for church and Sunday School members' children.

Vacation Bible School

One of our biggest events all year is Vacation Bible School. VBS is usually held the first or second week of June each year. VBS is open to children who are 4 years old (by September 30th of the previous year) through completed 5th grade. All children are invited to come.

Centri-Kid

Kids who have completed 3rd-through 6th. grades are able to attend Centr-Kid camp.

Every fall we have a Fall Festival with lots of fun and games! This is usually held the week of Halloween. Fall Festival is for children and adults of all ages.

Our final event for the year is our Angel Breakfast. Each year it is held in December in the fellowship hall. This is for children (babies through 6th grade) and their families. We have breakfast, entertainment, crafts, and even a photographer to take family photos. The Angel Breakfast takes place during the Sunday School hour and is over in time for Morning worship. Every child who attends will receive a free angel ornament from the angel tree. This is open to all church and Sunday School members and their guests and relatives.

Please return to the Children's Ministry site often. We will try to keep it updated for you!
