Rev. Tommy Crocker - Associate Pastor/Minister of Education & Outreach
I grew up on a farm outside a little town in Carroll County called Trezevant, TN. My wife, Jeanne Veteto, is from Memphis. We met while attending college at Union University.
We were married on August 15, 1980. God has blessed us with three children: Caleb (age 18), Erin (age 15), and Samuel (age13). We live outside Scotts Hill on approximately 32 acres of land about 15 minutes from the church building.
I became a Christian at almost 16 years of age. I said "yes" to God's call into the ministry at age 19. My ministry experience includes: 1) serving as a youth minister at Highland Park Baptist Church in Jackson, TN; 2) serving as the pastor of Scotts Hill Baptist Church from 1979 until 1991 and then from 1994 until 2007; and 3) serving as pastor at Salem Baptist Church in Trenton, TN from 1991 until 1994.
Favorite author: Dean Koontz. Some of my favorite books by him are Odd Thomas, Forever Odd, and Brother Odd.
Hobbies and/or interests: reading and carpentry.
Favorite sport: Playing golf.
Favorite team: My favorite college team is Notre Dame football. My favorite pro team is the Dallas Mavericks.
Life verse and/or Favorite Bible verse: Proverbs 3:4-10 and Jeremiah 29:11.
My most embarrassing moment: I won't say.
Favorite food: cornbread and vegetables.
Favorite past time: doing yardwork.
Something most people might not know about you: Many might not know that I love going to the mountains to enjoy the outdoors, the trails, and the wildlife.
